Once you load a podcast onto an iPod, you can listen to your favorite Web episodes and radio shows on the go. Loading podcasts to your iPod is about the same as loading songs onto your iPod.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Internet access
  • Computer
  • iPod
Step1
Open iTunes. Now, find a podcast. You can buy podcasts from the iTunes store (click the store icon on the “Source list” on the left) or find them on the Web.
Step2
Subscribe to a podcast. Podcasts appear in your library automatically when you purchase them.
Step3
Connect your iPod. Use your USB cable or iPod dock to connect your iPod. Wait for the icon to appear on the “Source list.”
Step4
Open your iPod settings. You can do this by clicking your iPod icon. Click the "Podcasts" tab.
Step5
Select "Sync...podcasts episodes.” Select “Podcasts to Update.” Or choose “Select All.”
Step6
Click “Apply.” Your podcasts should load each time you sync your iPod.
Step7
Sync your iPod. Your iPod will update automatically each time you connect it, or you can choose to update it from the “File” menu.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you manually update your iPod, simply drag and drop podcasts to your iPod icon.
  • Podcasts update themselves automatically when you connect to the Internet.
  • You must choose video podcasts from the “Video” then “Video Podcasts” menu on your iPod to view the video.
