You can watch a video podcast on an iPod just like you would listen to an audio podcast or song. Video podcasts are easy to find and load, so get out your iPod and watch a video podcast! Follow these steps to watch a video podcast on an iPod.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Find a video podcast. Open up iTunes and visit the iTunes Store. Browse around and find a video podcast you want to watch and click “Subscribe.” This will download it to your iTunes library.

  2. Step 2

Connect your iPod. Use the USB cable or iPod dock to connect your iPod to your computer. Wait for the icon to appear under "Devices."

  3. Step 3

Click your iPod icon. This will bring up the iPod settings. Click the “Podcasts” tab.

  4. Step 4

Check the “Sync” option. Do this only if you want your iPod to automatically sync your podcasts.

  5. Step 5

Select which podcasts to sync. You can select all or you can choose which podcasts to sync individually. Click “Apply” when you are finished.

  6. Step 6

Sync your iPod. Click “File” then “Sync iPod” (if you have named your iPod, the option will be “Sync ”).

  7. Step 7

Disconnect your iPod. Click the “Eject” icon next to your iPod and wait for the “Do Not Disconnect” message to leave the iPod screen.

  8. Step 8

Play the video podcast. From your iPod main menu, select “Video,” then “Video Podcasts” and then select the podcast you would like to watch.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can use the iPod controls to navigate through video just like you’d control song playback.
  • To update your podcasts manually, check the “Manually Manage Music” option in the iPod summary and then drag and drop podcasts to your iPod icon one at a time.
  • Syncing your iPod will overwrite any existing media, so make sure you have everything you want on your computer as well.
