Step 1
Select the iTunes icon on your computer to launch the application. Go to Apple’s Web site (see below) and download it for free if you don’t already have it installed.

Click on the “Music Store” button in the “Source” list in iTunes. It’s the sixth icon from the top. This opens up the iTunes music store.

Create an iTunes music store account if you don’t already have one. You can do this by selecting the “Account Sign In” tab in the upper right portion of the music store home screen.

Select the “Create New Account” tab in the upper middle portion of the pop up screen.

Select “Agree” in the Terms and Conditions portion of the account creation section, indicating you acknowledge the terms of use of the music store.

Fill in the blanks of the second part of the account creation screen, typing in your email address, password, password verification and secret question and answer. Click on "Continue" to move to the third and final screen.

Have your credit card or bank card on hand to type in your credit card number, security code and expiration date, and the mailing address of your card’s account holder. Click “Done.”

Step 8
Search for an album by typing its title or the artist’s name, or part of the title in the “Search” option at the top left of the music store.

Find and click on the album you choose Click on the “Buy Album” gray icon box at the right of the listing. You can also use the “Power Search” option, which gives you the ability to search by the album’s name, the artist/composer or both.

Click on the “Buy” button when you find the album you wish to purchase. You can also click on “Cancel,” which will bring you back to the song selection screen.

Step 11
The album you bought will be downloaded into your iTunes music library and will be listed by title.
