How to Fax a Word Document From an Internet Fax Account
To fax a Word document from an Internet fax account, you'll need a few simple tools. There are a few options, too, to accomplish this so you can tailor your system to your liking when faxing Word documents (or any other documents) over the Internet.
Instructions

-
1
Turn your computer on and connect to the Internet.
-
2
Search the Internet for an appropriate Internet fax program if you don't already have one. Consider monthly payments, amount of faxes you can send and receive and system compatibility.
-
-
3
Download the selected program (you will sometimes have to pay an initial fee, sometimes just monthly fees). Install the program on your computer.
-
4
Open the program and locate the icon for creating a new fax, then click on it.
-
5
Enter the contact information for both you and any/all recipients.
-
6
Locate the icon for attaching a file. Click it, then browse your personal hard drive for the Word Document you've saved and wish to send.
-

Review your fax and click "Send."

Tips & Warnings
Consider using the Microsoft Word Fax Wizard. Click "File," point to "Send To," then click "Fax Recipient" to start the Fax Wizard.
If you want a cover page and your program does not include a tool to create one, then you can go to any of a few free cover sheet tool sites available through an Internet search of "Internet fax cover sheet."
