It always happens. You have to make just one copy, and someone else is hogging the office copier, printing out hundreds of handbills for the company party. And will they let you cut in line to copy just one document? It is doubtful. Here is how to outsmart the competition and use a fax machine as a copier.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Gather the documents you want to copy. Now locate your fax machine.
Step2
Place your documents into the fax machine. Put them into the same slot that you would place documents for faxing.
Step3
Read the directions on the machine to see if the documents should be face up or face down. Insert them accordingly.
Step4
Locate and press the “Copy” button on your fax machine.
Step5
Watch the documents as they are fed through the machine. After each page goes through, that page will be printed and be located in the Receiving tray.

Tips & Warnings

  • The quality of copies from a fax machine is sometimes less than that of a regular copier.
  • The speed of fax copies is much slower than a regular copier.
  • Be sure to press “Copy”. If you press “Fax,” your document could be sent to the last number that was dialed on the fax machine.
