It can be difficult to find the perfect gift for your daughter. Now you can cut down the miles in the shopping mall, wandering back and forth between stores trying to find that "perfect gift." No longer do you have to tackle the "teenager stores," filled to the brim with giggling girls trying on clothes, picking out make-up or jewelry. Now you can shop for your daughter right from the comfort of your home.

All you need is a computer and an Internet connection, and you can find everything that you need for your daughter at one of many online stores. You can purchase clothing, make-up, jewelry, knick-knacks and more that will be perfect for your daughter without the hassle of shopping in a mall or retail store. And you can comparison shop for good deals and the best prices.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Internet access
  • Method of payment you can use online (such as PayPal or a credit card)
  1. Step 1

Open your Web browser to any search engine and search for whatever product or item you are looking to purchase for your daughter.

  2. Step 2

Compare prices for items between online stores to find the best deal.

  3. Step 3

Once you have found the best deal, click on the item to add it to your virtual shopping cart.

  4. Step 4

When you are finished shopping, click on Check Out.

  5. Step 5

Add your personal and shipping information to the form that will appear. In some cases, you may have to sign up for an account with the online store in order to process an order. (The account is usually free.)

  6. Step 6

Choose your method of payment and enter your information to pay for the item.

  7. Step 7

Print out your receipt for the item(s) you have purchased to keep for your records.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure that the online store takes the method of payment that you would like to use, for example, credit card, online check or PayPal.
  • Verify how the online store will ship your purchase and if they insure the purchase for damages during shipping.
  • Find out what the online store’s return and refund or exchange policy is. Especially if you are purchasing clothing or shoes, you may need to exchange or return the item if it doesn’t fit properly.
  • In most cases, you have 30 days to return unused and unopened products back to the company. If an item is defective, the online company will likely pay for return shipping.

on 7/28/2007 Many of us don’t want another vase or picture frame. Instead, why not a gift to change the world?

A new nonprofit website, http://www.ChangingThePresent.org lets you choose exactly what you want to accomplish: preserve an acre of the rainforest, provide books for children, fund an hour of cancer research, etc. The site already offers thousands of tangible donation opportunities from hundreds of leading nonprofits. You’re sure to find something that moves you.

Wish lists and registries let us share our passions with others and ensure the perfect gift. Beautiful, personalized greeting cards include a photo and description of the gift you gave.

ChangingThePresent.org is the website of a 501c3 nonprofit, so all of your money, less only a transaction fee of 3% and 30 cents to cover the credit card fee, goes to the nonprofit you choose to support.
