3. Once you have found the best deal, click on the item to add it to your virtual shopping cart.

4. When you are finished shopping, click on Check Out.

5. Add your personal and shipping information to the form that will appear. In some cases, you may have to sign up for an account with the online store in order to process an order. (The account is usually free.)

6. Choose your method of payment and enter your information to pay for the item.

7. Print out your receipt for the item(s) you have purchased to keep for your records.

• Make sure that the online store takes the method of payment that you would like to use, for example, credit card, online check or PayPal.
• Verify how the online store will ship your purchase and if they insure the purchase for damages during shipping.
• Find out what the online store’s return and refund or exchange policy is. Especially if you are purchasing clothing or shoes, you may need to exchange or return the item if it doesn’t fit properly.
• In most cases, you have 30 days to return unused and unopened products back to the company. If an item is defective, the online company will likely pay for return shipping.
