How to Sync an Ipod With a PC

If you want to add content to your iPod, you will need to sync it with your PC. Syncing your iPod and PC allows you to transfer files quickly and easily. Read on to learn how to sync an iPod with a PC.

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

    Plug your iPod into your PC. You will need to fit the large plug into the bottom of your iPod and the USB cable into the USB port on your PC.

  2. Step 2

    Open iTunes. If you do not have iTunes you can download it from the Apple Web site. Opening iTunes will allow you to start transferring files to your iPod.

  3. Step 3

    Find your device. When iTunes opens, look for your iPod to be listed on the left side of the iTunes display.

  4. Step 4

    Your iPod and PC are now synced and ready to transfer files.

  5. Step 5

    Select the files to be uploaded to your iPod.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure that all cables are firmly connected before syncing the iPod to a PC.
  • You can set iTunes to auto sync.
  • If you have music on your iPod that is not on your iTunes, it may be erased during the sync process.
