Check to see what kind of battery your iPod needs. Different generations take different kinds of batteries.

Go to an authorized iPod seller and weigh your options. If your iPod is under warranty, you can have the battery replaced free of charge. When the warranty period is over, you will have to pay for a replacement battery.

Check out the replacement batteries in the iPod store, in other stores and online. You will find that there are many replacement batteries out there.

Purchase your chosen battery, either online or in a store.
