Using a Fax Machine

1. You must have a color fax machine to receive a color fax.

2. Load the color fax machine with paper and make sure it has enough toner or ink to print effectively.

3. Ensure that the machine is on and ready to receive. Most machines are ready to receive when they are powered on and connected to a phone line. Many fax machines will display the word “Ready” on the LCD.

Using an Internet Fax Program

4. Install a fax program on your computer or subscribe to an Internet fax service.

5. Configure the program or service to receive a color fax. Examine the configuration menu and select the option to receive color faxes.

6. After you configure the program or service, it will periodically check to see if you have received any faxes.

7. A pop-up window or symbol will appear when a fax arrives.
