One of the special features of the Celestron VistaPix binocular/digital camera is the ability to adjust the image resolution, which allows you to balance image clarity and file size. Here's how to give your pictures a professional look.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Celestron VistaPix 8x32mm Binocular and Digital Camera

Step1
Turn on your Celestron VistaPix binocular/digital camera. Hold down the "Power" button for about 3 seconds.
Step2
Press the "Menu" button.
Step3
Scroll to the "Setting" option with the arrow keys and press "Shutter/OK."
Step4
Scroll to the resolution you want (see below for tips regarding which resolution to choose). Press "Shutter/OK."

Tips & Warnings

  • Saving photos in a lower resolution is usually fine, and it saves memory. If you plan to print a photo, however, save it in a higher resolution.
  • After taking the photo, you cannot increase its resolution. Make sure that you take any photo at the highest resolution you require. You can always save it at a lower resolution.
  • It is only at the extremes of resolution value that you will notice a difference between one resolution and another. Don't waste disc space by saving in a higher resolution than you need.
