How to Set the Date on a Nintendo DS
Your Nintendo DS, an advanced version of the Nintendo system, allows you to set the date. To employ this function, follow these steps.

Turn on your Nintendo DS. Once you power up your system for the first time, you will be prompted to choose the language.

Follow the on-screen instructions. After you've chosen the language, you will be given on-screen instructions to input items, including a nickname, birthday, current time and current date. Once you're finished with this process and turned off your Nintendo DS, your settings will be saved for the next time you use the device.

Go to the "Settings" panel. This is located on the DS menu screen. If you need to change the date and have already gone through the initial powering-up phase, go to this menu.

Choose the "Clock" option. The "Settings" menu will appear with four menu options, one of which is the "Clock" option. You can change the date with this option by touching the up/down arrows to adjust the numbers.

Select "Confirm" when finished. Once you've set the correct date, which includes month, day and year, choose "Confirm" to save the settings.

Tips & Warnings
In the "Clock" option, you can also change the time and alarm setting if necessary.
Nintendo DS will automatically save any settings you change and shut itself off.
Do not turn the power off until you have finished the on-screen instructions during the initial setup process or your settings will not be saved.
