Instructions

    • 1

Remove all games from the system and remove the AC adapter. Turn off the system before attempting to remove the battery.

    • 2

Plug the adapter's DC connector plug into External Extension Connector 2. It will match the slot.

    • 3

Confirm that the battery is not charging properly. Leave it plugged in to recharge for an extended period, and then check to see how much power it has.

    • 4

You must replace the battery when it can no longer hold a charge.

    • 5

Remove the small Phillips head screw on the back of the Game Boy Advance SP.

    • 6

Remove the battery cover and place it nearby. You will need it again after you replace the battery.

    • 7

Take out the original battery, starting at the end with the single tab.

    • 8

Insert the new battery, placing the end with two tabs in first. Close the compartment.

    • 9

      Reattach the battery cover.

    • 10

      Charge the battery.
