  • Game Boy Micro
  1. Step 1

Buy a Game Boy Micro, if you don't already have one. They can be purchased for less than $100 from your local gaming store or on the Nintendo Web site (see link below).

  2. Step 2

Connect to other Game Boy Micros. You can do this buy buying either a Game Boy Micro Wireless Adapter or Game Boy Micro connector cables.

  3. Step 3

Connect to other Game Boy handheld gaming systems. Using a converting box (available from Nintendo), the Game Boy Micro can play multiplayer games with users who own a Nintendo DS or Game Boy Advance SP.

  4. Step 4

Insert a copy of the game you are playing into each Nintendo handheld unit. You will need one copy of the multiplayer game for each handheld unit you want to use.

  5. Step 5

Once the cables are installed or wireless transmitters inserted, turn each of the handheld gaming devices on.

  6. Step 6

Follow the instructions in the game’s instruction booklet on how to set up a multiplayer game for that particular cartridge.

Tips & Warnings
  • It is important to connect the cables or insert the wireless transmitter before turning on the power in all the units.
  • Unlike other Nintendo handhelds, Game Boy Micro requires a wireless adapter to perform wireless play.
  • Game Boy Micro only plays cartridges designed specifically for it, and will not play previous handheld’s cartridges.
