Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Hold the center portion of the three tripod legs and extend them 6 to 8 inches.

Thread the three tightening screws through the bottom of the legs' brackets and tighten them (but not all the way).

  3. Step 3

Secure the flange between the two top portions of the tripod legs on the equatorial mount's tripod head.

  4. Step 4

Put the screw through one of the tripod's legs and flange. The screw should extend out the other side.

  5. Step 5

Put the washer and nut over the screw and tighten them.

  6. Step 6

Repeat steps 4 and 5 with the other two legs.

  7. Step 7

    Fine-tune the tripod's height.

  8. Step 8

Tighten the tightening screws all the way.

Tips & Warnings
  • The legs must be extended before the equatorial mount is attached. If not, the inner legs will be difficult to slide down.
