To do this, you will need to follow several steps and iterations to make it possible to utilize this device in iTunes as a Device. So to use iTunes with your Archos 104 MP3 player, just follow a few simple steps.

Instructions

1. Plug up your Archos music player to your Mac.

2. Search the folder structure on the Archos player for the /Data/iTunes Plug-in *.sit file.

3. Download the *.sit file and uncompress it.

4. Inside the *.sit, you will find a .jpeg file.

5. In the .jpeg file, you will find the location on your Mac to install the plug-in.

6. Copy the uncompressed plug-in to this directory location.

7. iTunes will now recognize your Archos 104 as a Device when it is connected.

Tips & Warnings

• iTunes will not save the playlists that you utilize to the correct directory on your Archos player. iTunes will save the playlist to your root directory.

• Archos players will not play AAC style music. Any music downloaded from iTunes music store will not play on the Archos player.

• This plug-in will enable iTunes to function from a Mac. There is no PC plug-in available from Archos to enable the PC version to iTunes to function with the player.
