How to Play Music From a USB Flash Drive on the Coby MP-CD475 Portable Audio System

You can connect a USB Flash drive to your Coby MP-CD475 and play MP3 and WMA digital music files straight from the USB flash drive through your player. Here's how to do that.

Instructions

    Connecting a USB Flash Drive

  1. Step 1

    Connect the USB Flash Drive (USB Device) into the USB port positioned beneath the LCD Display.

  2. Step 2

    Set the function switch to the CD/MP3/USB position.

  3. Step 3

    Press and hold ►▌▌to set the player in USB mode. The LCD Display will flash with “USB” symbol.

  4. Playing Music From a USB Flash Drive

  5. Step 1

    Connect the USB Flash Drive and press ►▌▌to start playback. The LCD Display will flash with the track number playing.

  6. Step 2

    Press ►▌▌to pause the play back. Resume play back by pressing the same button again.

  7. Step 3

    Select the next track by pressing ►►▌.

  8. Step 4

    Press ▌◄◄ to select the previous track on the list.

  9. Step 5

    Press “FOLDER UP” to select next folder. Player will recognize each folder as album if there are multiple folders on the USB Flash Drive. The player will shortly display the album (folder) number.

  10. Step 6

    Press “FOLDER DOWN” to select the previous folder. After a folder has been selected the display will show the album number.

  11. Step 7

    Press ▌◄◄ or ►►▌to select a track from the folder selected.

  12. Step 8

    Press ■ to stop the playback.

Tips & Warnings
  • With repeat play mode you can play tracks repeatedly by setting the unit to ‘Repeat Play Modes’.
  • Refer to the User Manual if any of the steps are not clear.
  • Note that it may take some time for the player to recognize all the files and folders on the USB device, especially if the files are in large number.
  • Some WMA files may contain restriction such as (DRM). WMA DRM-protected files will not be played by the player.
