To host a wireless game on a Nintendo DS you only need one cartridge. Nintendo DS lets you download games from a host system and play a multi-player game without cables or wires. Here’s how you can host a wireless game on a Nintendo DS.

Things You’ll Need:

  • Nintendo DS
  • Stylus

Step1
Power off your Nintendo DS system.
Step2
Insert the game cartridge.
Step3
Turn on your Nintendo DS and the client DS systems as well.
Step4
Start the game. Tap the game title on the touch screen with your stylus on the host system.
Step5
Tap the "DS Download Play" option on the client systems.
Step6
Select the game to download on the client systems. Tap "yes" to confirm.
Step7
Wait for the download.
Step8
Tap multi-player mode on the in-game menu.
Step9
Wait for other players to join.

Tips & Warnings

  • The power LED light will begin flashing when another DS is detected. It will flash rapidly when the wireless connection is active.
  • At least one person must have the game cartridge to play most multi-player DS games.
  • Some games require that each system has a game card inserted.
