If you’ve broken or lost your AC adapter, you can buy a new one straight from Nintendo. From the Internet or by phone, these steps will show you how to buy a new AC adapter for a Nintendo DS.

Things You’ll Need:

  • Computer with Internet access

Step1
Find out what you need. Do you have a Nintendo DS or a Nintendo DS Lite? They make a different AC adapter for each.
Step2
Log on to Nintendo’s Web site and click on “Online Store.” (See Resources, below.)
Step3
Click on “Parts, Manuals, Accessories.” Click on “Nintendo DS.”
Step4
Select “Nintendo DS” or “Nintendo DS Lite.”
Step5
Click the “Parts and Accessories” tab.
Step6
Find “AC adapter.” Click it for details.
Step7
Add to cart. Click “Buy.” Look over the items you are about to buy and click “checkout.”
Step8
Enter your billing information.

Tips & Warnings

  • Refurbished AC Adapters are “like new.” They have been tested and have 90-day limited warranties.
  • You can buy from a brick and mortar building, too. Ask the sales clerk about registering for the warranty.
  • You can buy third party accessories, but they aren’t covered by the Nintendo DS warranty.
