How to Conquer Final Fantasy X the Easy Way: Via Purifico

You've cleared Bevelle Temple--without too much pulling of hair or gnashing of teeth if you were lucky. It's time to move on. A reminder: If you did not get Kimahri's Knight Lance, get back into the temple and get it! You'll need it to get Anima and the Magus Sisters. Here's how to conquer Final Fantasy X the easy way through Via Purifico:

Instructions

1. Explore everywhere! Yuna won't be on her own for long, but now you've got the Aeon Bahamut in your corner. His Impulse attack can one-shot every fiend in here, so use him.

2. Use the teleport pads to zap between locations and behind the gates to get some sweet loot.

3. Make sure all your Aeons are at full Overdrive before you leave.

4. Head up through the hall with red lights when you are ready to move on.

5. Face the guardian. You will have to defeat another Summoner before you can leave. His Aeons are not particularly powerful but can be dangerous if you get careless. Unleash your Overdrives as fast as possible, then Shield when he is about to use one.

6. Be absolutely sure to Shield your Aeon when his Bahamut reaches Countdown: 1.

7. Continue on with Tidus, Wakka and Rikku. Remember that they don't have any healing magic (or at least, they probably don't) so you'll have to depend on items.

8. Laugh at Evrae Altana. Go ahead, laugh! Why? Because this is the easiest boss fight ever. Sure, you could lure the poor thing through the gates, attempt to trap it and spend half an hour harassing it before it finally dies a second time, or you could just...

9. Throw Two Phoenix Downs at Evrae Altana. Yes! That is all you need to do. Evrae Altana is a Zombie. Healing magic and items (like Phoenix Downs) are death to the undead.

10. Head through the gates you would have used to trap Evrae Altana and look for loot on the tunnel floor, then leave the Via Purifico. Some death dungeon, huh?
