How to Move a Photo to a Different Yahoo! Photos Album

Yahoo! Photos is packed with great features that allow you to easily organize and display your photos. You can perform a variety of functions quickly and easily, including uploading photos, adding them to new albums and moving photos from one album to another. Here's how to move a photo to a different Yahoo! Photos album:

Move Photos to a New Album

1. Open the album containing the photo you want to move by clicking the name of the album in the collections list.

2. Select a photo to add or drag photos into the photo tray if you want to add more than one. Alternatively, select multiple photos by holding down the "Ctrl" key when you select them.

3. Click “Edit,” then select “Add to Album.”

4. Select the album you want to add photos to, then click “Add.”

5. Remove the photos from the original album by clicking “Edit” and selecting the “Remove from Album” option under the “Photos” heading.

Move Photos in Smart Albums

6. Open the Smart Album containing the photo you want to move by clicking the name of the album in the collections list.

7. Select a photo to add or drag photos into the photo tray if you want to add more than one. Alternatively, select multiple photos by holding down the "Ctrl" key when you select them.

8. Click “Edit,” then select “Add to Album.”

9. Select the album you want to add photos to and then click “Add.”

10. Click “Edit” then “Smart Album Settings” to review the inclusion criteria for the Smart Album.

11. Remove photos from the Smart Album by clicking “Edit” and then “Name, Description and Tags.” By changing the tag for the photo, you can remove it from the Smart Album (because the Smart Album includes photos based on their tags).

Tips & Warnings

• When you add photos from one album to another album, you don’t have to delete the photos from the original album. You can put photos in multiple albums, including a mixture of Smart Albums and regular albums. All photos that you remove will remain part of the “All My Photos” collection as long as you do not delete them.
• Be careful not to accidentally delete your photos. Make sure you select “Remove From Album” under the “Photos” heading of the “Edit” menu and not the “Album” heading. If you select “Delete,” those photos will be removed from all albums as well as the “All My Photos” collection and you will have to upload them again.
• There is no confirmation box for removing photos from an album, so make sure you’ve selected the right photos to remove before clicking the “Remove” button.
