How to Install the Yahoo! Photos Easy Upload Tool in Internet Explorer

Yahoo! Photos is an online photo-sharing service. If you have a Yahoo! account, you automatically get access to this service. With Yahoo! Photos, you not only have access to unlimited photo storage space, but you can also organize your photos into albums based on any criteria you choose, share photos with friends and more. You can also download and use the Easy Upload Tool, which simplifies the process of uploading photos. Here's how to Install the Yahoo! Photos Easy Upload Tool in Internet Explorer:

Things You'll Need:

• Photo files in .jpeg or .jpg format
• Computer with Internet access
• Internet Explorer version 6.0 or higher
• Yahoo! account

1. Click "Upload Photos" on the home page of Yahoo! Photos.

2. Click the “Download Now” button.

3. Click "Run" to begin the download.

4. Click "Run" again when prompted to start the installation process.

5. If you do not want to install the Yahoo! toolbar, uncheck the box in the window that pops up. If you want to install the toolbar, just leave the box checked. Click "Next" to continue.

6. Read the licensing agreement, then click "I Agree" to continue.

7. Uncheck the boxes in the window if you do not want the services that are offered. Click "Finish" to complete the installation.

Tips & Warnings

• Once you’ve installed the Easy Upload Tool, click "Upload Photos" to begin using it. You can add upload photos to All My Photos, to an existing album or to a new album. Next, click "Select Photos," then open a folder that contains photos you want to upload. Drag and drop photos (or folders of photos) from your computer to the photo tray, then click "Start Upload" when you’ve made your selections.
• Even with the Easy Upload Tool installed, you can still add photos one by one if you want to. Just click the One By One link at the right of the upload page.
• Check the box labeled "Use Faster Upload" if you want to upload photos faster. Note, however, that large photos will be resized. They’ll be more suitable for printing, but they will end up smaller.
• You can upload as many photos as you want. However, there is a limit placed on the number of images you can upload per day. Unless your daily uploads exceed a few hundred photos, this shouldn't be a problem.
• Your photos must be .jpeg or .jpg files. Yahoo! Photos will not work with any other file type (if you have other image file types, open them in an image editor such as MS Paint, then save them as .jpeg or .jpg files).
