How to Install the Yahoo! Photos Easy Upload Tool in Firefox

Yahoo! Photos is an online photo-sharing service that makes organizing your photos easy. If you have a Yahoo! account, you automatically get access to this service. With Yahoo! Photos, you not only have access to unlimited photo storage space, but you can also place your photos in as many different albums as you want, create tags for your photos to help you locate them easily, share your photos with friends and more.

Yahoo! Photos provides an Easy Upload Tool-a convenient feature that makes uploading your photos even easier. Once you've installed it, the program runs in your Firebox browser automatically every time you upload photos. Here's how to install the Yahoo! Photos Easy Upload Tool in Firefox:

Things You'll Need

• Computer with Internet access
• Image files with the file extension .jpeg or .jpg
• Firefox version 1.5 or higher
• Yahoo! account

Instructions

Download the Easy Upload Tool

1. Click "Upload Photos" on the home page of Yahoo! Photos.

2. Click the "Download Now" button to start installing the Easy Upload Tool.

3. Click the "Install Now" button on the window that pops up. If the window does not pop up, go to to the next section of instructions (What to Do If Your Download Won't Start).

4. Click the "Restart Firefox" button when the installation is complete.

5. Click "Upload Photos" on the Yahoo! Photos home page to upload your photos.

What to Do If Your Download Won't Start

1. Click the "Edit Options" button at the top right of your browser window.

2. Click the "Allow" button to add Yahoo! Photos to your list of safe sites. Click "OK" to save your changes and exit the window.

3. Resume installation of the program starting with Step 3 of the "Download the Easy Upload Tool" instructions.

Tips & Warnings

• When you upload photos, you can create a new album for them, add them to an existing album or add them to the All My Photos collection. Click "Select Photos" to find photos on your computer, then double-click photos you want to add. Alternatively, open folders containing photos on your computer to drag and drop photos or folders into the photo tray. Click "Start Upload" to add them to your Yahoo! Photos account.

• You can still add photos individually after installing the Easy Upload Tool by clicking the One By One link on the right side of the upload page.

• Your photos must be .jpeg or .jpg files. Yahoo! Photos will not work with any other file type. You can turn image files of other types into .jpeg or .jpg files simply by opening them in an image editor (such as MS Paint) and saving them as .jpeg or .jpg files.
