The Yahoo! Photos service allows you to organize and display your photos. You can delete or remove a photo from your Yahoo! Photos album or account by following these easy steps.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Yahoo! Photos albums containing digital images with the file extension .jpeg or .jpg
  • Yahoo! account

Remove a Photo From an Album

  1. Step 1

Open the album containing the photo you want to delete by clicking the name of the album in the collections list.

  2. Step 2

Select a photo to remove, or drag photos into the photo tray if you want to add more than one. Alternatively, select multiple photos by holding down the Ctrl key when you select them.

  3. Step 3

Remove the photos from the album by clicking “Edit” and selecting the “Remove from Album” option under the “Photos” heading.

  4. Remove a Photo From a Smart Album

  5. Step 1

Open the Smart Album containing the photo you want to remove by clicking the name of the album in the collections list.

  6. Step 2

Select a photo to remove, or drag photos into the photo tray if you want to add more than one. Alternatively, select multiple photos by holding down the Ctrl key when you select them.

  7. Step 3

Click “Edit,” and then “Smart Album Settings” to review the inclusion criteria for the Smart Album.

  8. Step 4

Remove photos from the Smart Album by clicking “Edit” and then “Name, Description and Tags." By changing the tag for the photo, you can remove it from the Smart Album (because the Smart Album includes a photo based on its tag).

  9. Delete a Photo From Yahoo! Photos

  10. Step 1

Open the album containing the photo you want to delete. Alternatively, open the “All My Photos” collection.

  11. Step 2

Select the photo you want to delete, or drag photos into the photo tray if you want to delete more than one. Alternatively, hold down the Ctrl key and click photos to select them.

  12. Step 3

Click “Edit” on the taskbar and then choose the “Delete” option.

  13. Step 4

Click “Yes” when prompted to delete the photos. Check before confirming the deletion to make sure you’re deleting the right photos.

Tips & Warnings
  • Note that removing and deleting are different operations with different consequences—when you remove a photo from an album or Smart Album, it will still remain in other photo collections. Deleting a photo removes it from all albums and the entire “All My Photos” collection. Make sure you select the right option to avoid having to again upload photos you accidentally deleted.
  • There is no confirmation box for removing photos from an album, so make sure you’ve selected the right photos before clicking the “Remove” button.
