The Sony CFD-F10 Boombox has many great features that allow you to listen to the music you want, how you want. One such great feature is radio station preset. Read on to learn how to preset the radio stations on the Sony CFD-F10 Boombox.

Things You'll Need

  • Sony CFD-F10 Boombox

Preset Stations Manually

  • Press "Radio Bank/Auto Preset" to choose either FM radio or AM radio.

  • Hold down "Tune +" or "Tune -" to choose a station. When you hold down these buttons, the Sony CFD-F10 Boombox will automatically scan to find stations with strong signals. You can manually find any station, even one with a weak signal, pressing "Tune +" or "Tune -" repeatedly instead of holding it down.

  • Press and hold "Dsp/Ent/Mem" until the display screen shows the flashing preset number.

  • Press "+" or "-" to choose a preset number for the station.

  • Press "Dsp/Ent/Mem."

Preset Stations Automatically

  • Press "Radio Band/Auto Preset" to choose FM or AM.

  • Hold down "Tune +" or "Tune -" to choose a station. When you hold down these buttons, the Sony CFD-F10 Boombox will automatically scan to find stations with strong signals. If you want to preset a station with a weak signal, it must be done manually.

  • Press and hold "Radio Band/Auto" preset for two seconds until the display screen flashes the word "Auto."

Preset the Station Using the Remote

  • Press "Band" to choose FM radio or AM radio.

  • Tune to the radio station you want to preset.

  • Pick the preset number you'd like for station you have chosen. Select that number by pressing it on the remote control and holding for two seconds.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can preset up to 20 FM radio stations and up to 10 AM radio stations.
  • To select a number higher than 10 using the remote, you must first press ">10" and then key in the numbers.
  • Your stations will remain programmed into the preset function even if you unplug your Sony CFD-F10 Boombox or remove the batteries.
  • Improve FM reception by pressing "Mode" until "Mono" appears on the display screen.
