How to Observe Objects in Infrared With Your Meade NightView Digital Night Vision Monocular

The Meade NightView is a digital night vision observing device you can use both day and night. NightView is portable and easily fits your hand. Things You’ll Need:

• Meade NightView Digital Night Vision Monocular

1. Point NightView at an object and press the "Infrared Control" button.
   
   
2. Press and hold down one end of the "Infrared Control" button.
   
   
3. Hold down the other end of the button. You will notice the object quickly goes from bright to dim or vice-versa, depending upon which end of the button you pressed first.
   
   
4. Make the image dim. Press and hold the appropriate side of the button.
   
   
5. Now click the button briefly. If you press and hold the button, the intensity changes quickly. Clicking the button slows the transition into steps. You will find 100 steps for 100 levels of brightness.
   
   
6. Continue to briefly click the button. Note how the intensity incrementally increases with each click.

Tips & Warnings

• The "Infrared Control" button is actually composed of two buttons. The front button increases the infrared intensity to its maximum and the rear button decreases the infrared intensity to its minimum.
• When you turn off the power, NightView remembers the last infrared and display brightness settings you chose. NightView will return to these settings the next time you turn on the power.
• If you use the infrared control at maximum intensity for long periods, the infrared will heat. This is normal but don't touch it.
