How to Connect a Meade NightView Monocular to a Monitor

The Meade NightView is a digital night-vision device that can be used day or night. It fits easily into one hand and is well-suited for outdoorsmen, boaters or nature hobbyists. Connecting the NightView to a monitor will provide a clearer view of whatever you're observing.

Things You’ll Need:

  • Monitor
  • Meade NightView monocular
  • RCA cable

Connecting NightView

Step1
Locate and remove the small rubber plug covering the RCA port.
Step2
Insert one end of a user-supplied RCA cable (a standard cable used with most video equipment) into NightView’s RCA port; plug the other end into the monitor's “In” port.
Step3
You can also plug the cable into the “In” port of most new VCRs.

Tips & Warnings

  • Consult the monitor’s instruction manual for further information.
  • Make sure the monitor is set for the “line in” mode, if applicable.
