The computerized Autostar controller provides control of virtually every telescope operation. The backlit display, key arrangement and sequential database make Autostar extremely user friendly.

Things You’ll Need:

  • Meade DSX-90 telescope
  • Autostar controller

Connect Autostar

Step1
Be certain the power switch on the computer control panel is in the "Off" position.
Step2
Plug the coil cord of the Autostar into the HBX port.
Step3
Turn on the computer panel. The red LED lights when power is supplied to the panel.

Tips & Warnings

  • Autostar does not require batteries--the telescope’s batteries supply the power.
  • When multiple choices are available within a menu option, the current option is usually displayed first and highlighted by a right-pointing arrow.
  • The location settings are only asked for the first time you turn on the control panel.
  • Never point the telescope at the sun or look directly at the sun.
