Attaching the telescope to the tripod represents the final part of the initial tripod set up. Follow these steps and you'll be ready to scan the stars.

Things You’ll Need:

  • Meade LX90GPS Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope

Step1
Remove the telescope from the packaging and put it on the tripod's head.

Step2
Put the threaded rod in the middle hole in the lower part of the telescope's drive base.

Step3
Tighten the tension knob, but do not overtighten it.

Tips & Warnings

  • You should tighten the knobs until they are firmly set. Do overtighten.
  • Familiarize yourself with the telescope parts before attempting to assemble anything.
