Attaching the spreader bar to the tripod is part of the initial tripod set up. You can accomplish this in a few easy steps.

Things You’ll Need:

  • Meade LX90GPS Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope

Step1
Take the spreader bar from the packaging and maneuver it onto the threaded rod.

Step2
Put the rod back through the tripod head.

Step3
Put the C clip in the threaded rod's slot.

Step4
Ensure that the three arms of the spreader bar are aligned with the three tripod legs.

Tips & Warnings

  • Be sure to familiarize yourself with telescope parts before attempting to assemble anything.
  • Tighten the telescope's knobs firmly but don't force them. Overtightening can damage the device.
