How to Do a Kickflip
The "Kickflip" is an important skateboarding technique. The trick seems to be difficult when you first see it. However, if you are a good skateboarder, then the Kickflip will appear as a natural extension of your ability. Read on to learn how to do a Kickflip.

Position your foot on the skateboard in a comfortable position. Place it in such a way that the ball of your back foot is on the tail of the skate and your front foot in the center and pointing out a little.

Crouch a bit and jump a little forward. Keep your back foot off the skate board.

Slide your front foot off the side of the skateboard diagonally. This will make the board flip. Remember to raise your back foot so that the board has enough room to flip.

Watch the skateboard spinning. When it comes round, bring your front foot on the deck and allow the back foot to touch the board. The board will now stop spinning.

Land back on the bolts of the skateboard firmly yet smoothly. Once you have caught the skate board, roll easily.

Tips & Warnings
Concentrate on balanced jumping. Know that Kickflip is all about jumping. Jump high and forward to spin the skateboard.
Landing back on the skate board after jumping is a challenging task. It requires a lot of practice.
