This is an article teaching you how to do a kickflip on a skateboard.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • In order to do a kickflip, you must know how to ollie first.
  1. Step 1

Put your back foot flat across the tail of the board, and your front foot on the edge of the board, with your heel hanging off the board, and your front foot slightly slanted, about on a 45 degree angle.

  2. Step 2

Pop the board as hard as you can, and at the same time sliding your front foot up the board to the corner of the nose.

  3. Step 3

Give the corner of the nose a slight flick out and a little down. NOTE: do NOT flick ALL the way down. If you do this, the board will flick alright, but your foot is now under the board. How you gonna land now?

  4. Step 4

Once you've done that, pull your feet up and out of the way to let the board spin under you. Let the board do one full spin under you. This means you have to watch the board very carefully until the grip tape appears up. Once the grip tape appears up, plant your back foot on the back bolts and let it stick to the bolts until you have enough time to place your front foot on the front bolts. Bend your knees to absorb the shock and let your board hit the ground.
