Adding observing sites to your telescope's memory will help you find selected objects when you are in different geographic locations. Follow these steps.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Meade DSX-125C Altazimuth-Cassegrain telescope

Step1
Locate the "Setup Site" menu and select "Enter."
Step2
Use the scroll keys to find "Site Add" and select "Enter."
Step3
Scroll through the list of countries and states until you find the desired location. Select "Enter."
Step4
Scroll through the cities and press "Enter" when you find the correct one.

Tips & Warnings

  • You need to understand how Autostar works and how to use the menu before attempting this exercise.
  • You will also need to have initialized Autostar. The telescope should be in the "Home" position.
  • You can store up to six observation sites: The site you added during the initialization process and five additional sites.
