Follow these steps to attach the mounting arm while assembling your Meade SDX-125C Altazimuth-Cassegrain telescope. Be sure to follow the directions in order.

Things You’ll Need:

  • Meade SDX-125C Altazimuth-Cassegrain telescope
Step1
Put the mounting arm assembly in the tripod base while holding onto the arm assembly. With your free hand, thread the mounting lock knob through the tripod base and on the mounting arm assembly. Do not overtighten.

Step2
Remove the four screws located on the mounting arm shaft using a Phillips head screwdriver. Now loosen the altitude lock and rotate the mounting arm shaft in a counterclockwise direction until it stops. Tighten the altitude lock.

Step3
Put the mounting plate on the mounting arm by lining up the mounting plate with the mounting arm shaft. Replace the four screws you removed in Step 2.
