Adding observing sites to your telescope's memory will help you quickly find objects from varying locations. The Meade DSX-90 Altazimuth-Cassegrain Telescopeable lets you store up to six observation sites. Here is how the function works.

Things You’ll Need:

  • Meade DSX-90 Altazimuth-Cassegrain telescope

Step1
Locate the "Setup Site" menu and select "Enter."

Step2
Use the scroll keys to find "Site Add" and select "Enter."

Step3
Now scroll through the list of countries and states until you find the appropriate selection. Select "Enter."

Step4
Scroll through the cities and press "Enter" when you find your target location.

Tips & Warnings

  • You must learn how Autostar works and how to use the menu before attempting this exercise.
  • You must initialize Autostar and the put the telescope in the home position.
  • You can add only five sites. The sixth site is the one you added during the initialization process.
