How to Insert a Game Card Into a Nintendo DS Lite

Insert a game card into a Nintendo DS Lite and get your game on. The game cards are small, even smaller than the Game Boy Advance packs, and are inserted into the machine from the back through SLOT-1. Pick up a game card and your Nintendo DS Lite and let the gaming begin.

    Tips & Warnings

    • You can set your Nintendo DS Lite to automatically start playing games when they are inserted into the unit. Follow the icons on the Main Menu and Options screens.

    • If you have DS game cards and Game Boy Advance packs in the machine at the same time, the DS Lite will play the DS game unless the unit is set for Manual Start-Up. You can also remove the DS game card to get the Game Boy Advance game to play.

    • Do not force DS game cards into the Nintendo DS Lite. If you are having problems inserting the card, make sure you are putting the game card straight into the unit and not at an angle.
