PictoChat: The Easy Way to Do It
Step1

Use the PictoChat features to communicate wirelessly. The maximum range is 30 feet.
Wi-Fi Compatible Game: The Long Range Way to Do It
Step1
Insert a Wi-Fi compatible game into the Nintendo DS Lite. Pull up the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connections Setup screen.
Step2
Select the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connections Settings with your stylus and then tap on a Connection slot. These are numbered and displayed side-by-side on the screen.
Step3
Tap on the “Search for an Access Point” panel on the next screen. This will show you the name of the wireless access point that you can use to communicate wirelessly with another Nintendo DS Lite.
Step4
Look to the right of the access point’s name. You should see a padlock icon and a signal strength bar. If the padlock icon is unlocked and blue, just tap on the name and confirm your selection.
