How to Create a Calendar in Microsoft Word

Do you need a calendar that you can write data on? You can personalize your own calendar in Microsoft Word.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

    Load Microsoft Word.

  2. Step 2

    Click on File, New, General Templates, and Other documents.

  3. Step 3

    Double click on the Calendar Wizard. The Calendar Wizard appears.

  4. Step 4

    Click on Next and choose style.

  5. Step 5

    Click on Next and choose portrait or landscape.

  6. Step 6

    Click on Next and select the starting and ending months.

  7. Step 7

    Click on Next and Finish.

  8. Step 8

    The calendar appears.

  9. Step 9

    To be able to type information on the calendar, select all the dates by clicking at the end of the row of the last date on the calendar, holding the mouse down, and moving up and to the left until you get to the left edge of the first date of the calendar.

  10. Step 10

    Change the font size to 14 by clicking on the down arrow after the font size and choosing 14.

  11. Step 11

    To add an appointment, click after the date in a certain square and start typing. Press Enter to go to the next line in a given square. Press Tab to go to the next date on the calendar OR click anywhere after a numeral and key in information.

Tips & Warnings
  • Save the document by going to File, Save As; go to the appropriate folder where the calendar should be saved. Key in an appropriate file name and click on Save.
  • This doesn't work on a Mac computer.
