Even though the Nintendo DS Lite was just released, there are already some used systems on the Internet. Finding a used system can save you money. Follow these steps to buy a used Nintendo DS Lite on eBay.

  • Internet access
  • Computer
  1. Step 1

    Visit eBay. Bookmark this page on your browser for future use.

  2. Step 2

    Once on the eBay page, type in "used Nintendo DS Lite system." Choose “Video Games” under the “Categories” section and click the “Search” button.

  3. Step 3

    The following screen will hold the results. There are not many since the DS Lite is the newest version.

  4. Step 4

    Compare the prices to the new Nintendo DS Lite to make sure the prices are not out of line.

  5. Step 5

    Make the purchase. To buy a used Nintendo DS Lite, you can either “Buy it Now” for the price listed, or you can bid on one. To bid, you will need to register as an eBay user.

  6. Step 6

    Click on “Place Bid” to bid on your used Nintendo DS Lite. To bid, type in a figure that is the same or higher than the minimum bid price listed. On the next page you will confirm your bid.

Tips & Warnings
  • To register as an eBay user, you’ll put in your name, address, phone number and birth date, as well as a user name and password. If you have registered before, and have forgotten your either, eBay can send you your information again. You should register prior to searching for your product.
  • Make sure to watch your item so that if someone outbids you, you can bid again, following Step 8.
  • Placing a bid on eBay means you are entering into a legal contract to pay what you bid. Make sure you will have the funds available for the cost of the item plus shipping and handling.
