How to Troubleshoot a Game Boy Micro

The Game Boy micros is an exciting, action-packed handheld game system. With a Game Boy micro, you can play video games anywhere you go. Unfortunately, like any computer or electronic system, Game Boy micros are prone to a variety of technical problems. Follow these steps to troubleshoot a Game Boy micro.

  • Game Boy micro
  1. Step 1

    Reboot the system. Whenever you run into a technical difficulty, try turning the Game Boy micro off. After waiting a few seconds, turn the system back on.

  2. Step 2

    Check the batteries. A common cause of technical frustration is low battery power. Double-check to make sure the batteries are fully charged.

  3. Step 3

    Examine the screen. Try turning the system off and removing the Game Pak. Then reinsert the Game Pak and turn the system back on.

  4. Step 4

    Look for horizontal lines. When you see horizontal lines on your screen, turn the system off and remove the Game Pak. Then reinsert the Game Pak and turn the system back on.

  5. Step 5

    Make sure the AC adapter is securely connected to the Game Boy micro and the wall socket when your battery pack will not recharge.

  6. Step 6

    Determine if there is a problem with the volume. When no sound comes from the speaker during game play, try adjusting the volume. If you are using headphones, make sure they are properly inserted into the Headphone Connector.

  7. Step 7
