Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Internet access
  • Computer
  1. Step 1

Visit the eBay site and follow the on-screen instructions to set up an account. You can use your account to buy and sell all sorts of items.

  2. Step 2

Use the site's search engine to comparison shop for the games you want. There will be many different auctions going on at any moment. See what games are available and what the lowest bids are.

  3. Step 3

Decide which games to buy and then research the seller. After looking at all of the seller's information, you can make an informed decision about who you want to buy from.

  4. Step 4

Place your bid and watch the auction. Click the "Place Bid" button on the top of the item’s homepage. Now that you are in the auction, you need to watch the auction carefully because others can out-bid you. You don’t want to lose the auction by a few cents.

  5. Step 5

Repeat as necessary. If you don't win the auction, try again.

  6. Step 6

Pay the seller promptly if you win an auction. The quickest and easiest way to pay is through PayPal. You will need to set up a separate PayPal account.

  7. Step 7

Watch your mailbox. You might need to wait a few days to receive your games. Some sellers take longer to ship items than others.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can pay with a check or money order most of the time, but remember to add in the time it takes to get the payment to the seller. Most eBay sellers prefer PayPal to any other method of payment.
  • Watch for shipping prices. You will often need to pay shipping charges on top of the auction price.
  • If you have a dispute with the seller, report it as soon as possible.
