The eyepiece is the part of the telescope that you look into when viewing objects. It is located at the back of the optic lens and is usually bent 90 degrees up for easy viewing. Here's how to insert an eyepiece into your Meade DS-2000 series reflecting telescope.

Step1
Remove the supplied eyepiece from its container.
Step2
Place it in the diagonal prism or directly into the eyepiece holder.

Step3
Tighten the thumbscrews to a firm feel only.
