How to Conquer Final Fantasy X the Easy Way: Rikku

We continue our series on conquering Final Fantasy X with the Extractor boss fight and the Moonflow.

Instructions

1. Keep some Eye Drops handy. The Extractor's Depth Charge attack can cause Darkness.

2. Have Tidus cast Haste on everyone as soon as possible!

3. Use Wakka's Overdrive and try to get 3 Lightning bars. The Extractor is vulnerable to lightning, so this should help a lot.

4. Stock up with O'aka on the other side of the Moonflow if your supplies are low.

5. Steal! Steal! Steal! Now that you've got Rikku, you can grab all sorts of loot from fiends! Her Steal command can also be used to dismantle some varieties of Machina, which is extra handy!

6. Keep Rikku in your first group if for no other reason than she almost always has the first move. Even if you don't use her that much, she will ensure that unless you get ambushed, you'll always throw the first punch.

7. Bear in mind that your (Tidus') actions with the various girls in the game will have an influence on things later. Who you favor (talk to first and heal the most often) will determine which of the ladies throws you the ball when you perform you ultimate Overdrive, "Blitz Ace." If you want a specific person to throw you the ball, heal them, talk to them first and choose dialogue options which they would favor.

8. Be careful when stealing from chests later in the game. Many of them contain fiends in hiding!

9. Make sure you Steal from Ochus! You will get a Remedy, which can be used to cure any status ailment!

10. Try to Steal from each fiend 2-3 times. This will not only give you a good stock of items and inform you of what kind of items the fiend has, it is also the usual number of times you can Steal from a single fiend before you see "Couldn't Steal."
