The play timer feature on your Panasonic RX-D29 performs the function of an alarm clock. You can set a particular time on the play timer to wake you up. It will automatically play the radio, a CD or a cassette. The clock must be set before you use the play timer feature. Also, you should keep the music source ready and adjust the volume. 1. Press "Tuner/Band-Auto Preset" to turn on the unit. "CD >/■" or "Play" button can be used as an alternative way to turn the unit on.
2. Press "Clock Timer/Adj" by using the remote control.
3. Press "-/│<<" or ">>│/-" to set the time. Time limit given is 30 seconds.
4. Press "Clock Timer/Adj" by using the remote control. This will set the time.
5. Press "Clock Timer/Adj" for selecting “Play On” on the display.
6. Select a start time by pressing "-/│<<" or ">>│/-" then press "Clock Timer/Adj." For example, if you have selected 8:30 a.m. as start time, the display will show "AM" under the "Play" section and "8:30" under the "ON" section.
7. Press "-/│<<" or ">>│/-" to select the finish time during the “Play Off’’ display. Select the finish time and press "Clock Timer/Adj." For example, if you have selected the finish time to be 9:00 a.m., the display will show "AM" under the "Play" section and "9:00" under the "OFF" section.
8. Press "Timer/SetCheck" to select the “Play’’ display. It will show the start time → finish time on the display.
9. Press "Tape/Off." Stop the tape to turn the unit off and allow the timer to function.
