How to Remove an Image on a Web Page With Yahoo PageWizards

Yahoo PageWizards provides free templates to help you create your own Web pages with easy to follow instructions to help along the way. Once you have built your Web page or pages, it is simple to follow the steps below to remove an image on a Web page with Yahoo PageWizards.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Log in to your Yahoo GeoCities account.

  2. Step 2

    On the control panel of GeoCities, click on the "Create & Update" tab.

  3. Step 3

    Click on the Yahoo "PageWizards" link.

  4. Step 4

    Select the template of the page that you want to remove the image from.

  5. Step 5

    Once PageWizards opens, select the "Edit an existing page" button.

  6. Step 6

    Use the pull-down menu and select the specific page you want to remove the image from.

  7. Step 7

    Click the "Next" button.

  8. Step 8

    Now you can choose to use an image from your File Manager, upload a new Image or not use an image.

  9. Step 9

    When you've finished editing your images, continue through Yahoo PageWizards until you get to the "Name Your Page" step.

  10. Step 10

    Click the "Next" button to save your editing.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you plan on uploading pictures or images from your computer, make sure they are either .jpg or .gif files. Yahoo PageWizard doesn't recognize other image file formats. If an image you want to use isn't one of these 2 formats, you should use an image editing program to change the file to the correct format.
  • If you can't seem to get the image to upload to your File Manager, check 2 things. First, make sure that you have space available in your file manager (that is, check the Site Status area on the Geocities control panel). Or check the size of the image you are trying to upload. Digital cameras are great but–—even if they save photos or images in .jpg or .gif–—they tend to be huge files. You may have to edit the image before uploading it (resize it or crop a portion of the image).
