How to Create a Playlist in iTunes

Creating a playlist is a fun way to keep your iPod as unique as you are. You can create playlists that suit your mood at different times and in different places. Creating a playlist is really entertaining and quite simple.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

    Go to the iTunes section on your iPod.

  2. Step 2

    In the Source pane, click the Add button. Alternately, you can go to the file menu and click on New Playlist.

  3. Step 3

    Select and enter a name for your playlist.

  4. Step 4

    Drag songs or other items to the title of your playlist.

  5. Step 5

    Continue to drag songs to your playlist until you have included all of the songs you are interested in holding in it.

Tips & Warnings
  • You may want to look in the Library list under Music for songs that can be dragged to your playlist.
  • If you do not have time to complete your playlist in one sitting, you can go back and complete the process at another time.
  • If you decide you do no longer want a song on your playlist, you can remove it.
