Tips & Warnings
  • The disc-burning feature in iTunes is a very powerful feature. You can create playlists and mixes easily, so make sure you have the right to burn the songs before you start. Note that iTunes will try to verify ownership prior to burning the music to a disk.
  • If you purchased the music or videos from iTunes, you are limited to a pre-set number of burns. The iTunes software will check how many times your personal computer has burned this song prior to burning it to a CD. If you exceed the preset number you will have to purchase another copy of the song from iTunes prior to burning it to a CD.
  • The iTunes software will also verify that the song is licensed to the computer from which you are trying to burn it. If the song or video is not licensed, then iTunes will not burn it to the DVD and will simply stop in the middle of the burn.
