How to Beam an Excel Document to Someone on a Dell Axim

Infrared beaming has become popular among pocket PCs as a quick and easy way to share various documents. Beaming Excel documents with a Dell Axim to another device can be a difficult process without some helpful hints. Follow these steps to learn how to beam an Excel document to someone on a Dell Axim.

  1. Step 1

    Turn on your Dell Axim. Do this by pressing the “Power” button. After the main screen is up and everything is fully loaded, look for the indicator light to begin blinking and check your battery power. You may need to charge your battery to ensure proper beaming.

  2. Step 2

    Open the correct program. Begin by selecting “Start” and then choosing “Programs” from the “Start” menu. Select Excel from the list of programs by clicking on it. This will open Excel.

  3. Step 3

    Open the Excel document by clicking on its name. Go through the document and make any necessary corrections.

  4. Step 4

    Open the “File” menu on your Dell Axim from the Excel document you want to beam. From this menu choose “Beam.” This will begin the beaming process and send your Excel document to the intended recipient.

Tips & Warnings
  • Be sure all other programs are closed when beaming your Excel document.
