If you want to take your song list to a friends house and there is no iPod player available you may want to burn your favorite playlist to a CD. To complete this task, you will simply need to follow a few instructions.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Open up iTunes on your desktop.

  2. Step 2

    Open your playlist.

  3. Step 3

    Click on "Edit."

  4. Step 4

    Click on "Preferences."

  5. Step 5

    Select the "Advanced" tab.

  6. Step 6

    Select "Burning."

  7. Step 7

    Select your disc type.

  8. Step 8

    Click on "OK."

  9. Step 9

    Next, click on "File menu."

  10. Step 10

Scroll down to "Burn Playlist to Disc."

Tips & Warnings
  • The disc burning feature in iTunes is a very powerful feature. You can create a playlist and mixes, but make sure you have the right to burn the songs before you start as iTunes will try to verify ownership prior to burning the music to a disk.
  • If you purchased the music from iTunes you are limited to a pre-set number of burns. The iTunes software will check how many times your PC has burned this song prior to burning it to a CD. If you exceed the preset number you will have to purchase another copy of the song from iTunes prior to burning it to a CD.
