Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • owner's manual
  • Dell Axim
  1. Step 1

Make sure the devices are close enough together. Bluetooth has an effective range that changes slightly depending on the device. Make sure you're not just out of range.

  2. Step 2

Read the instruction manual. This is a good idea no matter what troubleshooting you're doing on your Dell Axim. Bluetooth can be tricky to set up. There are many ways to do it, depending on your particular configuration.

  3. Step 3

Visit the Dell support web site. (See resources). Enter your product key or the type of Axim you have.

  4. Step 4

Call Dell technical support 24/7 at this number: 1-800-624-9896.

  5. Step 5

Be sure that your batteries are charged and all wires are plugged in properly.

  6. Step 6

Download the latest drivers and patches for your Dell Axim from Dell's website. (See resources). Software engineers work out bugs for gadgets all the time. When they do, they post the fix-it file for you on their website.

  7. Step 7

Perform a soft-reset. The problem may be that you're running too many programs.

Tips & Warnings
  • Always read your instruction manual. Bluetooth technology is not operated identically on all devices; so familiarize yourself with the way the Dell Axim uses it before trying to operate it.
  • Make sure both devices you're using actually have Bluetooth technology. Also make sure it's turned on.
