How to Use Block Recognizer to Write on an HP iPAQ Screen

Block Recognizer allows you to bypass the cramped, on-screen keyboards or bulky, auxiliary keyboards. It's an use easy-to-use solution for manual data entry on your pocket PC. Follow these simple instructions to get started using Block Recognizer.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • HP iPAQ
  • Stylus
  1. Step 1

    Tap the Block Recognizer icon on the bottom of the screen to select it. Any time you can enter any character, Block Recognizer is available as an input option.

  2. Step 2

    Input letter characters by using the left side of the Block Recognizer box. Draw the appropriate stroke to input the letter of your choice.

  3. Step 3

    Input numeric characters by using the right side of the Block Recognizer box. Draw the appropriate stroke to input the number of your choice.

  4. Step 4

    Enter punctuation and other similar symbols by inputting the appropriate stroke on either side of the Box Recognizer box.

Tips & Warnings
  • Block Recognizer has a notable learning curve to it. It takes a little time to get used to making the legible shapes you need to input characters. Once you’ve mastered it, though, Block Recognizer is very efficient.
  • Use the question mark icon to locate new symbols or look up ones you’ve forgotten.
