The HP iPAQ is one of a new breed of personal organizers. It has taken connectivity to a new level with a myriad of ways to connect and sync with the Internet or other electronic devices. One way to do this is to configure the Bluetooth on an HP iPAQ. Follow these steps to find out how.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Bluetooth device
  • HP iPAQ
  1. Step 1

Open the Bluetooth “Connection Manager.” It's a little Bluetooth icon on the “Today” screen that's gray when off and blue when on. Tap the icon to turn it on.

  2. Step 2

"Pair” your HP iPAQ with the device you want to use with Bluetooth. Select “Tools” then “Paired Devices” then “Add” on your HP iPAQ. Select the device you want to use.

  3. Step 3

Connect to the device by clicking the “Connect!” icon in Bluetooth. This opens the Bluetooth connection wizard and will allow you to connect to new or existing Bluetooth-enabled devices.

  4. Step 4

To connect to a new device, tap the icon “Add” and search for the device you want to connect to. If you can’t find it, make sure that both devices are Bluetooth enabled and “discoverable.”

  5. Step 5

To connect to an old device (or a new device once it's been detected), tap the device’s icon. The connection wizard should automatically connect to it leaving you only to tap the “Finish” button.

Tips & Warnings
  • For some devices, you’ll need to enter a passkey in order to connect or pair them with your HP iPAQ.
  • Make sure that both your HP iPAQ and the device you want to connect to are both Bluetooth-enabled.
